Wage Gap, Gender Gap, Skills Gap, Opportunity Gap. We all want similar things from our work: fair pay, a sense of purpose, the trust to work autonomously, the opportunity to make an impact. Yet, despite our similarities, our system treats us very differently. Wage gaps clearly separate the haves and the have nots. A gender gap persists in maintaining an unequal treatment of men and women. Conscious and unconscious bias prevents progress for under-represented groups across ethnicity, sexuality and ability. And the skills gap is only widening with artificial intelligence promising to further polarize.
